be sure to check out our next gig: thursday, 3 july @ the velvet lounge, mount lawley

deuce is a local promotion company focussed on unleashing live, local artists in perth, and providing a forum for local artists and musicians to perform, meet (and potentially collaborate), have fun and get outta the jam space they have in their lounge room, bedroom, garage, etc ...

established in 2003 by jonathan craig (8ball) and paul bridge (pauly fatlace), and run with jason craig and ro alexander, deuce has achieved legendary local status by putting on some of the most renowned parties around perth, at venues including the bakery, ambar, heat, the rosemount, luxe ampitheatre, and not forgetting those underground parties at the morgue and various other temporary venues.

today jay scroop (turbine 37), james ward (james DXU) dash merton (d'cyphr) and jen craig keep the deuce legacy alive through readily accessible (ie FREE) gigs at the legendary velvet lounge in mount lawley (behind the flying scotsman).

deuce introduced the renowned jigsaw program in 2004, encouraging artists to collaborate and gig for the first time in front of non-expecting or mainstream audiences.{which managed to spawn some of the more well know and popular electronic acts in Perth today, we continue to seek out acts which are a bit left of centre and will cater for the people of perth who appreciate original artists, enjoy something they've never heard before, and aren't scared of soomething a little different.

with a general focus on electronic music, and a love of varying music styles, deuce prides itself on inviting to the stage a range of musicians, instruments, themes, talents, back drops, costumes, visuals (and the list goes on), and sharing spaces with fine artists, fashion students, graphic designers, and other corners of the indutry that fall s under the umbrella of "art".
